Dun Dun DUN!

I think this was the first 3West strip I ever wrote. I really liked the way Robbie's lines came out, and started thinking of a series of comic strips based around these two. And yes, I'm hoping to eventually share with you the reason why you don't want to dwell on room 313.

It's Always Nice to Ask First

This still might be my favorite 3West comic, script-wise. Rylan is reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, by Michael Chabon. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 2000, and is a really good read.

Dang...

Rylan had a huge movie-star jaw back in the day. That is a jawline made of pure American badassery. In other news, I still cannot draw characters in 3/4 perspective. Maybe it would be easier if they had ears.

Oh yeah, click on the comic if you want to be able to read it.

If you have any virgin blood...

...share some with your new roommate. It's the polite thing to do.

Co-lettering credit for this strip goes to my sister Kiki, who wrote Robbie's items that he agreed to share. Really, Robbie? You'd share your hair gel with a roommate? That's kinda creepy.

I was so bad at drawing then.

Still am pretty bad, but at least my characters don't morph between panels anymore.

Geez, this is small.

Okay! We're up and scanning. And it only took me an hour to get this first one up! At this rate, I will be done... never.

Site is Go!

Welcome to the 3West web page! This is the permanent online home of the comic 3West, which I wrote for the Arizona Daily Wildcat for two weeks. I'll begin to clean up and personalize this page when I get the chance, but for now it's a work in progress. Make sure to check back often, as I'll be getting all the new comics up over the next few weeks. Thanks for visiting!
